Poster Presentation Information

  • Poster Orientation All posters must be in portrait style orientation, and all content (text, data, photos, and figures) should fit on one page.
  • Poster Size The required printout size is 841 x 1189 mm (A0 size). Please bring your poster to the conference venue.
  • Presenter Responsibility Presenters must be around their bulletin boards to make their presentations and answer questions during the poster sessions.
  • Location Poster presentations will be held on 1F, Innovation Building, Ming Chi University of Technology.

Important Dates and Times

  • Assembling Date/Time: 09:00, Oct. 17
  • Presenting Date/Time: 15:30~17:20, Oct. 17
  • Removal Date/Time: Before 18:00, Oct. 17

Note: It is your responsibility to address questions about your poster during the presenting times mentioned above.

Poster Competition Guidelines

Poster Display and Review

Poster authors are required to upload a one-page abstract of their paper to the SDSE website by September 6, 2024. Once the abstract is accepted and registration is completed, the poster display number will be published on the website. Poster authors must mount their posters on the designated boards before the competition starts and remove them after the display. Failure to mount the poster before the evaluation period or the absence of the author during the judging will result in automatic disqualification from the poster award competition.

Poster Dimensions and Mounting Regulations
  • Poster Size: A0 (Width: 84.1 cm × Height: 118.9 cm)
  • On October 17, from 08:00 to 15:30, staff will be available to assist with poster mounting.
Poster Review Criteria

The evaluation criteria will be divided into four parts:

  • Q&A session (30%)
  • Originality (30%)
  • Poster content (30%)
  • Layout design (10%)

Each poster will be reviewed and scored by two judges. The time slots for evaluation will be posted in the individual poster display areas.

Awards

The best poster presentation awards will be selected from each field to recognize outstanding contributions, and the awards will be presented at the conference closing ceremony.

  • First Place (1 winner): NT$3,000 and a certificate
  • Second Place (1 winner): NT$2,000 and a certificate
  • Third Place (1 winner): NT$1,000 and a certificate
  • Honorable Mentions (several winners): Certificate only
