Background
Welcome to the 2024 International Conference on Smart Devices and Sustainable Energy (SDSE 2024), scheduled for October 16th to 18th, 2024 in New Taipei City, Taiwan. SDSE 2024 aims to illuminate the indispensable linkages between "renewable energy" and "sustainable environment" applications.
With the mission of SDSE 2024, we aspire to curate a symposium that beckons the foremost minds in the field to explore the thematic landscape of sustainable environments. Towards this endeavor, we are privileged to extend invitations to three keynote speakers and sixteen esteemed scholars whose collective expertise promises to enrich our discourse with invaluable insights and perspectives.
Our conference proudly stands under the auspices of Ming Chi University of Technology (MCUT). It is meticulously organized by the College of Engineering, encompassing the Research Center for Intelligent Medical Devices, Organic Electronics Research Center, Center for Plasma & Thin Film Technologies, Battery Research Center of Green Energy, Center for Environmental Sustainability and Human Health, and International Ph.D. Program in Innovative Technology of Biomedical Engineering and Medical Devices.
Building upon the success of the inaugural SDSE conference in 2023, hosted with distinction by College of Engineering in MCUT, we embark upon SDSE 2024 with renewed vigor. The previous iteration featured over thirteen international scholars from across the globe, spanning South Korea, Indonesia, the Philippines, Malaysia, Thailand, Australia, and Saudi Arabia. With over 180 researchers in attendance and a showcase of more than 130 poster papers, the event entrenched itself as a cornerstone international conference in the domains of sustainable energy and smart devices.Leveraging the insights gleaned from our inaugural gathering, SDSE 2024 charts an ambitious trajectory. We are thrilled to announce the engagement of over sixteen internationally famous scholars who will impart their wisdom through lectures, exploring diverse facets of Smart
Devices and Sustainable Energy. Our deliberations will traverse the terrain of innovative electronics' efficacy in discerning environmental pollutants, an imperative aspect of environmental stewardship. Moreover, discourse will span the gamut from the evolution of novel energy sources, such as organic and perovskite solar cells or Li-batteries, to pioneering methodologies for harnessing solar power to generate pure hydrogen, thus propelling the frontiers of green hydrogen production.
Furthermore, we extend a sincere invitation to submit peer-reviewed poster papers, cultivating an environment conducive to the cross-pollination of ideas and insights. With an anticipated gathering of over 250 participants, encompassing researchers, professors, engineers, and students alike, we eagerly anticipate the presentation of more than 150 poster papers. Of particular significance, we are proud to announce the establishment of the “Wang’s Sustainability Poster Awards”, in recognition of the enduring contributions of our esteemed founders, Mr. Yung-Ching Wang and Mr. Yung-Tsai Wang. These awards pay respect to their perpetual business operation and steadfast dedication to the society, symbolizing the founders' lifelong commitment to the principles of “diligence, perseverance, frugality and trustworthiness, and aiming at the sovereign good”. By upholding their philosophy, we aim to foster meaningful dialogue and collaboration in the realms of sustainable energy and smart device technology.
